1 About ChildCare.pk
ChildCare.pk is an online healthcare platform intended to facilitate access to child healthcare professionals and online medical consultations.
Depending on the service available at the time, ChildCare.pk may facilitate communication between a patient or parent/guardian and a healthcare professional through channels including WhatsApp, telephone, email, text communication, or other digital communication methods.
ChildCare.pk is not intended to replace emergency medical services, hospital emergency departments, or in-person medical examination where such examination is clinically necessary.
An online consultation is based on the information available to the doctor at the time of consultation.
The healthcare professional may ask questions, review information provided by the patient or parent/guardian, assess symptoms, provide medical advice, recommend further investigation, or prescribe medication where clinically and legally appropriate.
2 Acceptance of These Terms
By using ChildCare.pk, you agree to:
- Provide truthful and accurate information.
- Use the platform only for legitimate healthcare purposes.
- Respect doctors, staff, patients, and other users.
- Not misuse the website or consultation service.
- Not attempt to deceive ChildCare.pk or a healthcare professional.
- Not submit fraudulent information.
- Not impersonate another person.
- Not interfere with the operation of ChildCare.pk.
- Follow applicable laws and regulations.
- Accept that online medical consultation has inherent limitations.
If you are registering or requesting a consultation on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are acting as the child's parent, guardian, or an appropriately authorized person.
3 Important Medical Disclaimer
ChildCare.pk provides a platform for facilitating communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
ChildCare.pk does not itself diagnose patients, prescribe medicines, or provide medical treatment.
Medical advice is provided by the healthcare professional conducting the consultation.
The doctor makes clinical decisions based on the information supplied by the patient or parent/guardian and any information that can reasonably be assessed through the online consultation.
Because online consultation does not always allow a doctor to physically examine a child, perform vital-sign measurements, conduct laboratory tests, perform imaging, or directly observe every aspect of the child's condition, online medical consultation has limitations.
The doctor may therefore recommend an in-person examination, emergency care, laboratory investigation, imaging, or consultation with another specialist where appropriate.
4 Online Medical Advice Is Not a Guarantee
The medical advice provided through ChildCare.pk is based on the information available to the doctor.
The doctor does not personally know the patient before the consultation and may not be able to independently verify every statement, symptom, medical history, photograph, document, medicine, allergy, or other information provided by the patient or parent/guardian.
Therefore, the doctor provides what they consider to be the best appropriate medical advice based on the information and medical history provided to them.
Medical advice cannot be guaranteed to produce a particular result.
No representation is made that a consultation will always result in a diagnosis, prescription, improvement, recovery, or prevention of a medical condition.
Medical conditions can change after a consultation, and new symptoms may require reassessment.
5 Patient Information Is Critical
The quality and safety of an online consultation depends significantly on the accuracy and completeness of information supplied by the patient or parent/guardian.
You must provide relevant information honestly, including, where applicable:
- Child's age.
- Symptoms.
- Duration of symptoms.
- Previous medical history.
- Existing medical conditions.
- Allergies.
- Current medicines.
- Previous treatments.
- Relevant laboratory reports.
- Relevant imaging.
- Previous diagnoses.
- Pregnancy-related information where relevant.
- Any known drug reactions.
- Any other information reasonably relevant to the consultation.
You must not deliberately hide information that could affect medical decision-making.
If you do not know an answer, simply tell the doctor that you do not know.
Do not guess medical information simply to complete a consultation.
6 Emergency Situations
ChildCare.pk is not an emergency medical service.
If a child is experiencing a potentially life-threatening emergency, severe breathing difficulty, unconsciousness, seizures, severe bleeding, serious injury, poisoning, severe allergic reaction, or another condition that appears to require immediate physical medical attention, the parent or guardian should seek emergency medical care immediately.
Do not delay emergency treatment while waiting for an online consultation, WhatsApp response, email, text message, or website response.
The healthcare professional may also instruct the patient or guardian to seek immediate in-person medical care.
Following such advice is the responsibility of the patient or guardian.
7 No Guarantee of Diagnosis
Online consultation cannot guarantee that every medical condition will be identified.
Some conditions require: physical examination, laboratory testing, imaging, monitoring, observation, specialist assessment, hospital evaluation, or other clinical procedures.
If the doctor believes additional assessment is necessary, the patient should follow that recommendation.
8 Legal Use of Medical Advice
Medical advice provided through ChildCare.pk is medical advice and is not intended to constitute legal advice, legal evidence, forensic certification, or a legal opinion.
